On February 13, a violent clash between two rival groups in Madaripur Sadar Upazila in Madaripur District resulted in the detonation of over 100 crude bombs and at least one injury, identified as Sumon, reports The Daily Star. The conflict stemmed from a long-standing rivalry over local dominance, with joint forces including police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and army later restoring order. According to Police, the conflict centres on two rival factions, one led by Akter Hawlader and Lavlu Hawlader and the other by Hasan Munshi. Tensions escalated around 6:30 pm when 10 to 15 teenage members associated with the Hasan Munshi faction attacked Rana Bepari, a supporter of Akter Hawlader, in the Char Kukrail Judge Court area.
