SAA event in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Mostar area, Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sat 14th February 2026

A 43-year-old man was shot and killed in the early morning hours near a parking area by residential buildings. Police responded following a report from emergency medical staff and confirmed the victim’s death at the scene. According to the media reports, the victim had a substantial criminal record, mostly related to robberies. Initially, four individuals were detained for questioning in connection with the murder, while a search was launched for two additional suspects. The investigation culminated in the arrest of a 27-year-old man, who is now considered the final person linked to the crime. During the arrest, police recovered a firearm (pistol) believed to be the weapon used in the killing. The investigation is ongoing.
