One soldier was killed during a landmine attack on a terrorist military column that had set out to extort money and search for mines on the Monywa-Chaung-U road in Sagaing Region. An official from the Brave Heart Army (BHA) confirmed the incident to Khit Thit Media.

At 2:40 PM on March 3, a military column of approximately 20 personnel from the Taw Pu Pyu Saw Htee village in Monywa Township was intercepted by revolutionary forces. The group was reportedly heading toward the Monywa-Chaung-U road to collect extorted fees and clear mines when the attack occurred.
