Fighting has broken out for two consecutive days in Hpakant, Kachin State, where heavy artillery fire from the terrorist military has injured two civilians, including a 70-year-old woman, a local Hpakant source told Khit Thit Media.
Clashes between the terrorist military and revolutionary forces have been occurring since the afternoon of March 3 and are continuing through today, March 4, around the Su Taung Kone and Club Kone areas of Ma Shi Ka Htaung ward in Hpakant.
During the engagement, the military’s Hpakant Tactical Command Base launched heavy artillery shells toward the combat zone. Shells landed and exploded near Club Kone, injuring 70-year-old Daw Ja Phar Lu and another unidentified woman.
