Two members of the Pyu Saw Htee militia, including their leader Jay Maung, were killed when their Fuso truck was intercepted and fired upon in Okpho Township, Bago Region. Weapons and ammunition were also seized, according to an official from the Okpho Urban Guerrilla Force (Thayarwady District Battalion 3802, Company 4) who spoke to Khit Thit Media.

At approximately 2:50 PM on February 21, revolutionary comrades from the Okpho Urban Guerrilla Force attempted a surprise inspection of a Fuso truck carrying Pyu Saw Htee members, led by Jay Gyi (aka Jay Maung) from Shan Ywa village, at the entrance of Thalika village. An exchange of fire ensued when the vehicle refused to stop and the occupants resisted with gunfire.
