Tragedy in rural Segovia, Antioquia: A drone carrying an explosive device struck a family home in the La Jagua hamlet, killing three people and seriously injuring another. The attack took place around 7:00 a.m. on February 26, 2026, in this remote area, about five hours from the municipal center, amid ongoing clashes between the Clan del Golfo (also known as the Gaitanist Army of Colombia) and dissident FARC factions, according to initial reports from local authorities and media. The victims were María Cecilia Silva Silva and her two sons, Yalusan Cano Silva and Alonso de Jesús Silva. A third son of María Cecilia, a 50-year-old man, was wounded and remains in critical condition. Authorities are assessing his urgent transfer to a specialized medical center in Medellín.
