An armed attack on a liquor store along Abraham Calazacón Avenue in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Ecuador, left one man dead and four others injured. The 35-year-old victim, who had stopped by the establishment after work, was fatally shot and died at the scene. The four injured men, all struck by bullets, were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet identified a motive for the shooting, which occurred late on February 23, 2026, and no suspects have been arrested as of now. The incident is under investigation.
