The military carried out an airstrike on the Maw Maung Bum village extension in Hpakant Township, Kachin State, despite there being no active fighting, damaging at least five houses, a Hpakant source told Khit Thit Media.

At approximately 1:00 AM today, February 24, the terrorist military commission forces used a jet fighter to drop a bomb on the Maw Maung Bum village extension in the Maw Wan village tract, Hpakant Township. At least five houses were damaged. It is reported that there were no civilian casualties as most residents of Maw Maung Bum (also known as Maw Maung Kone) village have already fled for safety.
