SAA event in Mandalay, Ngazun area, Myanmar on Fri 20th February 2026

On 20 February 2026, in Ngazun township (Myingyan district, Mandalay region), a combined force of local defense forces intercepted a Myanmar military column of about 20 military troops and Pyu Saw Htee members advancing from Son village to Si Mee Khon town at about 10:30 am. The two sides then exchanged fire for about 15 minutes. The combined force includes the People's Defense Force - Mandalay District (Battalion-3), the Irrawaddy Prince Guerrilla Force, the Borderless Heavy Weapon Force, the Sintkaing Revolution Force, the Special Task Force (Ngazun), the Myingyan Danger Dynamite, and the People's Defense Force - Si Mee Khon. 6 military troops were killed on the spot, while 4 others later died from injuries at the Si Mee Khon Hospital. A member of the combined force was also killed during the clash. The combined force seized two G3 rifles, one carbine, a surveillance drone, and 53 rounds of G3 ammo. 11 fatalities.
