SAA event in Amapa, Macapa area, Brazil on Fri 20th February 2026

On 20 February 2026, in Macapa (Amapa), suspected members of the CV shot and killed a suspected member of the FTA in a square in the Novo Horizonte neighborhood. The victim had been playing football and was approaching his vehicle when the perpetrators opened fire, striking him multiple times, primarily in the head. The perpetrators fled the scene by car. The victim had prior records for drug trafficking and receiving stolen goods. The killing was suspected to be linked to disputes between the CV and the FTA in Amapa. On social media, the CV claimed responsibility for the attack, declared the beginning of hostilities, and stated that the victim was killed with an AK-47 rifle. 1 fatality.
