SAA event in Guatemala, Villa Nueva area, Guatemala on Fri 20th February 2026

Around 20 February 2026 (as reported), in Villa Nueva, Guatemala, four suspected MS-13 gang members were shot and killed and their bodies were found with signs of torture inside an abandoned car on the Pacific Highway. In addition, a note stating 'Damned Mara Salvatrucha' was found inside the vehicle. The victims had tattoos showing MS-13 affiliation. A different version on the attack suggests that the perpetrators might have been MS-13 members, instead of the victims. The investigators suspect that the attack might be a settling of scores between rival groups. 4 fatalities.
