On 19 February 2026, in Rar Hpu village (coded as Rar Hpu (Thit)) (Yebyu township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), Myanmar military troops advancing from Kywe Ta Lin village towards Rar Hpu village opened fire on a 30-year-old man with a hearing impairment in a rubber plantation. The man was shot after he attempted to flee upon seeing the military troops and did not respond to their order to stop as he could not hear them. He was killed, and the military paid 200,000 kyat as compensation. 1 fatality.
