On 19 February 2026, Ambazonian Separatists from the Restoration Forces faction ambushed a military convoy along a main road in Bamessing (Ngo-Ketunjia, Nord-Ouest). The Separatists detonated an IED during the clash which missed its target. Military forces later arrested a commercial motorcycle operator, accusing him of being an Ambazonian separatist. There were no casualties.
