On 19 February 2026, ISWAP militants attacked and clashed with the military forces from the Rapid Intervention at a military camp in Samana, coded to the closest most populated area, Blangoua (Logone-et-Chari, Extreme-Nord). 1 soldier and at least 10 militants were killed, while 6 soldiers were injured. Military forces also arrested 3 others and recovered some weapons. There were at least 11 fatalities.
