On 19 February 2026, in Tha Yet Cho village (coded as Ramree) (Ramree township, Kyaukpyu district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes on the village using two fighter jets at about 11 am. The bombs landed on the former police station and the market. Narinjara News and Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported that about 3 people were killed and several were injured. The Development Media Group and Khit Thit Media reported that 2 people were killed and four were injured, while the BBC News reported that a man was killed. More than 10 houses were also damaged. Fatalities coded as 1, using the lowest estimate.
