On 19 February 2026, according to the local FSB office, a member of an unspecified Ukrainian armed group opened fire on approaching agents in Stavropol. The agency stated that the man was planning to blow up a local government-run war fund office, and was killed in return. 1 pistol, 1 grenade and an IED were seized from his body.
