On 12 November 2019, airstrike by Afghan or US forces killed 8 civilians, in the Koz Ali-Sangi village of Jaji (Zazai Aryoub) district, Paktia. This included 3 men, 3 women, and 2 children, who were a family of a Taliban commander killed earlier in the day by another airstrike. They were in their vehicle returning home from the funeral. Some sources reported the strike was carried by US forces.
