On 19 February 2026, in Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul), unidentified gunmen shot and killed a man while he was riding a motorcycle on Galdino Jesus dos Santos Street in the Morro da Policia area, Coronel Aparicio Borges neighborhood. The victim had prior records for theft and receiving stolen goods and lived in the Morro da Cruz area, where the Bala na Cara gang operates, while the killing occurred in an area with presence of the rival group Os Manos. The killing was suspected to be an execution. The motive for the attack remains unclear. 1 fatality.
