On 19 February 2026, in the rural area of Mossoro municipality (Rio Grande do Norte), unidentified armed suspects shot and killed a woman. The suspects broke into the victim's house and fired against her, escaping afterwards. The victim's husband was the target of the attack and managed to escape. Police described the event as an execution and are investigating if the victim's husband was involved in drug trafficking. The authorship and motivations are unknown. 1 fatality.
