On 19 February 2026, an armed group suspected of being linked to Al-Nasr Brigade shot and killed 2 members of the Anti-Security Threat Agency's special operations unit while they were driving on the refinery road in Az Zawiyah (Az Zawiyah, West). One of the killed was the nephew of militia leader Mohammed Bahroun, while the other was a lieutenant of the agency.
