On 18 February 2026, near Win Kan village (Shwegyin township, Bago district, Bago-East region), the combined troops of the Karen National Liberation Army, the People's Defense Force - Yangon Battalion - 5103 and allies attacked the advancing column of around 50 Myanmar military soldiers around 12 pm. The armed clash lasted around 20 minutes. 5 military soldiers were injured.
