On 18 February 2026, in Kyauk Pon village (Katha township, Katha district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped two bombs on a checkpoint of the local resistance force at around 4 pm. Some members of the local resistance force were injured and some buildings were damaged.
