On 18 February 2026, in Watt Town, Saint Ann, a police officer shot and killed a man in the Bump area. According to police, the now deceased opened the police vehicle's door and pulled the officer out of the car before raising his hand with a stone, as if he was going to hit the officer with it. In response, the policeman opened fire in what he described as an act of self-defense. The victim's mother did not trust the police version and called for an investigation. 1 fatality.
