On 18 February 2026, in Uberaba (Minas Gerais), the military police exchanged fire with unidentified armed men in a car during a police chase in the Tancredo Neves neighborhood. The suspects' car crashed, injuring a woman with a child in her arms; after the crash, the vehicle also caught fire. Agents shot, injured and arrested two suspects and seized a revolver, cellphone, drugs and the car, which was stolen. There were no fatalities.
