On 18 February 2026, in Arauquita municipality (Arauca), an unknown number of members of the Camilo Cienfuegos faction of the ELN clashed with military troops and injured a soldier in an explosives attack near Caranal Bridge in a rural sector of the municipality. ELN members first detonated an explosive device under a Titan armored vehicle, followed by a confrontation with military troops in which they exchanged fire. The soldier sustained injuries from the blast. There were no fatalities.
