On 18 February 2026, 2 clans (described as Kogi and Yari) from the Mundari community clashed under unclear circumstances in Kogi Village, Terekeka Payam (location coded to Terekeka, the nearest known location in Terekeka County, Central Equatoria State), resulting in 27 fatalities and 6 injuries on both sides. The village was destroyed and set on fire during the attack.
