On 18 February 2026, 2 clans (described as Kogi and Yari) from the Mundari community clashed under unclear circumstances in Kogi Village, Terekeka Payam (location coded to Terekeka, the nearest known location in Terekeka County, Central Equatoria State), resulting in 27 fatalities and 6 injuries on both sides. The village was destroyed and set on fire during the attack. An unspecified number of people were displaced. 15 suspects were arrested in connection with the incident. 1 source claimed the clash ensued after the Kogi attacked the Yari, and the clash resulted in at least 32 fatalities. 27 fatalities coded for this event.
