18th February 2026
On 18 February 2026, in Culiacan Rosales, Sinaloa, unidentified individuals travelling in two vehicles opened fire (drive-by) at the home of the recently elected leader of the Union of Workers in the Service of the Culiacan City Council (STASAC) in Fraccionamiento Las Brisas while the family was inside. On 13 February 2026, the day of the STASAC elections, graffiti appeared at the union headquarters warning people not to vote.
