On 17 February 2026, in Mee Chaung Yae Thauk village (Kyaukpyu township, Kyaukpyu district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military launched two airstrikes by dropping bombs and firing machine guns on the village using a fighter jet at around 4 pm. 2 women and some cattle were killed, and some houses were damaged. 2 fatalities.
