On 17 February 2026, in Taung Khaung Laung village (Palaw township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), the combined force of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) brigade 4's special force and National Liberation Army attacked the military outpost around 5:30 am. During the clash, the Myanmar military received airstrike support and the navy fired seven heavy artillery shells. The combined force seized and cleared the Myanmar military outpost around 8:23 AM, and the Myanmar military conducted two airstrikes around 9:30 AM. During the clash, 3 Myanmar military soldiers were killed and 3 Myanmar military soldiers were injured. The combined forces seized ten 60mm long-range mortar bombs and two grenades. 3 fatalities.
