On 17 February 2026, Russian Forces launched drone strikes at Malynivka, Donetsk, damaging a house. According to Russian sources, 145 Ukrainian soldiers, including from territorial defense units (coded to Kostiantynivka), were killed in the area of Kostiantynivka, Riznykivka, Izhevka, Stinky, Malynivka, Slovyansk, Vasyutynske and Dovha Balka [Russian MoD reported 145 fatalities.
