Around 17 February 2026 (as reported), in Osorio (Rio Grande do Sul), a man was killed, and his body was found with signs of torture on Antonio de Oliveira Schultz Avenue in the Atlantida Sul district. The victim was handcuffed with his hands behind his back, had prior records for drug possession and bodily injury, and was shot approximately 20 times. He had been abducted from his home earlier that morning on Alameda Zafira Street, in the Mariapolis beach area, by four armed and hooded men who forced him into a vehicle. Authorities later located the vehicle in Imbe and arrested one suspect. Police suspected the crime was related to drug debts. 1 fatality.
