On 17 February 2026, in Boa Vista (Roraima), four drug traffickers on two motorcycles shot and killed three Venezuelan men in a drive-by shooting at a metal workshop in the Asa Branca neighborhood. The perpetrators fired approximately 16 rounds using .380 and 9mm firearms before fleeing the scene. On 20 February 2026, three suspects were arrested and charged with triple qualified homicide, drug trafficking, criminal association for drug trafficking, illegal possession of restricted and permitted firearms, and qualified property damage. One of the arrested suspects was a former member of Venezuela's National Guard, considered highly dangerous by authorities and linked to a Venezuelan drug trafficking group. 3 fatalities.
