On 17 February 2026, overnight, Al Shabaab threw a hand grenade targeting Southwest Special Police Forces (SWSPF) at a checkpoint in Isha neighborhood of Baidoa town (Baydhaba, Bay). 2 officers were injured. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility.
