On 16 February 2026, in Chauk township (Magway district, Magway region), the combined troops of the People's Defense Force - Magway District Battalion - 3, Battalion - 2 and Battalion - 1 and allies continued to attack a column of around 200 Myanmar military soldiers with small and heavy weapons and bombs attached to drones. During the armed clash, the military fired heavy weapons from LIB-416 based in Salin town and the Myawaddy military checkpoint. Casualties unknown.
