Air Delivered event in Tanintharyi, Maung Mei Shaung area, Myanmar on Mon 16th February 2026

On 16 February 2026, in Maung Mei Shaung village (Dawei township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), the combined force of Dawei National Liberation Army and Dawei Guerrilla Revolution Force attacked the Myanmar military forces at Technology University's military outpost and the Phaya Me checkpoint around 6:00 am. During the clash, the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with Y-12 jet fighter in Technology University's military outpost area and surroundings around 10:00 am. The clashes lasted for four hours and during the clash, 19 Myanmar soldiers, including a Captain, were killed and 1 Type 81 light machine gun, 13 G3 rifles, 2 G4 rifles, 1 AK-47, 1 MA-5 pistol, 73 G3 magazines, 1 Type 81 drum magazine, 1 AK magazine, 3,000 rounds of G3 ammunition, 12 hand grenades, 100 rounds of AK ammunition, 5 walkie-talkies, and a large quantity of related military equipment. The joint forces also captured 11 Myanmar military soldiers as prisoners of war. 19 fatalities.
