On 16 February 2026, Israeli drones struck a car using a missile in Talouseh town (Marjayoun, Al Nabatieh). One individual was killed in the attack. The IDF claimed that the targeted individual was 'a Hezbollah operative involved in restoring the terror group's infrastructure.' The IDF added that the operative served as a local representative of Hezbollah in the village while actively engaging in attempts to restore the group's military infrastructure. According to the IDF, he was responsible for liasing between Hezbollah and town residents on 'on economic and military matters.' They claimed that he acted 'to seize private property for terror purposes.'
