16th February 2026
On 16 February 2026, at around 7:00 AM local time, Israeli drones fired several missiles targeting an individual who was starting his van to head out for work in Hanine town (Bint Jbeil, Al Nabatieh), killing him. The attack led to the burning of a van and an SUV, both owned by him. Civil Defense teams were deployed to the scene, extinguishing the fire and transporting the body to Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil. The IDF claimed it targeted a Hezbollah operative attempting 'to restore the terror group's military infrastructure.' The IDF added that his activities were a violation of the November 2024 ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
