On 16 February 2026, armed individuals suspected of being from the Murle community clashed with local youth (likely members of the Athoc section of the Bor Dinka community, who live in the area) in Angakuei village, Baidit Payam (location coded to Baidit, the nearest known location in Bor South County, Jonglei State), resulting in 1 fatality, a Murle member. The clash ensued after the Murle members raided 365 cattle and moved them toward the eastern side of Baidit Payam.
