On 16 February 2026, in Altamira (Para), unidentified gunmen shot and killed a woman in front of a residence in the Jardim Primavera neighborhood. The perpetrator approached the victim, asked for her, and fired at least eight shots before fleeing on foot. Police arrested one suspect and apprehended another individual suspected of monitoring the victim's movements and assisting the shooter. On 26 February 2026, a CCA gang leader suspected of involvement in the killing was killed in an armed clash with military and civil police officers (coded separately). Authorities suspected the victim was a member of a drug trafficking group and that the killing was motivated by rivalry between groups. 1 fatality.
