Around 16 February 2026 (as reported), police, hunters, and Agbekoya militia engaged a suspected armed Fulani pastoralist in a firefight, killing 2 in Elebe village near Irawo mine, location coded to the nearest town, Irawo Owode (Atisbo, Oyo). The armed group was attempting to attack a nearby village when the security agencies invaded their hideout. Others managed to escape with gunshot injuries.
