On 15 February 2026, near Ba Wa Pin village (Dawei township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), a combined force of resistance forces intercepted a Myanmar military column of over 100 troops from IB-285 advancing towards the Kyauk Me Taung base in the afternoon. The two sides then exchanged fire twice. The combined force includes the Karen National Liberation Army (Battalion-12), the Black Leopard Local Defense Force, the Lark Guerrilla Force, the Eastern Defense Force, the Steel Guerrilla Force (Na Ba Yan), the Daw Na Company - 7, the Eastern Jungle Set Kyar Column, and the Tavoy People Liberation Force. 4 military troops were killed, and several others sustained injuries. 4 fatalities.
