On 15 February 2026, in Wa Hmyaung village (Kyaukpyu township, Kyaukpyu district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military fired artillery rounds and launched drone strikes on the village using a suicide drone at around 6 pm. A 43-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl were killed, and 7 others sustained injuries. Three houses were also damaged. A 60-year-old woman who was injured died of injuries on 19 February while receiving treatment. 3 fatalities.
