On 15 February 2026, in Leon de los Aldama, Guanajuato, according to witnesses, rival gangs used stones, bricks and sticks to engage in a fight at the intersection of Cobalto and Nitrogeno streets, in colonias San Jose del Consuelo and Valle de Senora. Police officers arrived at the scene but were forced to leave when the gang members threw stones at them and injured two. Once the officers left, an unidentified individual shot and killed a man and injured another. Residents claimed that the police officers had also fired their weapons, which was denied by the authorities. 1 fatality, 3 injured.
