On 15 February 2026, Al Shabaab clashed with Kenya security forces and Jubaland security forces convoy conducting a joint operation along the border, near Kolbiyow village (Badhaadhe, Lower Juba) after the militants exploded an IED. Al Shabaab claimed to have killed 4 soldiers and injured 8 others.
