On 14 February 2026, in Kutkai town (Kutkai township, Muse district, Shan-North), fighting broke out between the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) at night. Both sides exchanged fire with both 40mm heavy explosives and small arms. Casualties unknown.
