On 14 February 2026, in Long Hkin village (Hpakant township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military fired heavy weapons which fell and exploded at a Chinese school and injured six civilians including four children who were having a meal around 4:30 pm. Separately, the military fired heavy weapons which fell and exploded in the Nyein Chan Thar Yar No.2 ward, near the A Paw Zay Kone area and near a police station and some houses were destroyed. A 15-year-old boy who was injured died with injuries on 19 February while receiving treatment. 1 fatality.
