Other MoA event in El Oro, Bajo Alto area, Ecuador on Sat 14th February 2026

On 14 February 2026, in Bajo Alto (El Guabo, El Oro), the army engaged in an armed confrontation with unidentified armed individuals traveling in a boat who began firing indiscriminately at people on the shore (Code separately). Military personnel in the area responded to the attack from the shore. The attackers also threw explosive devices that did not detonate and were later defused. The clash left no fatalities, although the initial attack resulted in two deaths.
