Around 14 February 2026 (as reported), in Puerto Inca (Naranjal, Guayas), an unidentified armed group killed eight people and their heads were found in bags along with threatening pamphlets in the Recinto Eloy Alfaro area. Investigations indicate that the killings occurred approximately 60 hours before the remains were discovered. One of the victims was a minor with prior records for illegal possession of weapons and drug possession, and other victims also had criminal records. Investigations led to raids on the victims' homes, where rifles and police uniforms were found. Authorship is unknown. 8 fatalities.
