On 14 February 2026, youth suspected of being from the Murle community from the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) clashed with Toposa youth during an attempted cattle raid by the former in Kiire area of Kauto Payam (location coded to Kauto, the nearest known location in Kapoeta East County, Eastern Equatoria State). 2 suspected Murle youth were killed while several others sustained injury. A GPAA official denied the presence of their youth in the area.
