A civilian took an interceptor warhead that fell after a barrage last night to his home. The Sha'ar District Police and the Judea and Samaria Border Guard saboteurs located the suspect in the act, safely collected it, and destroyed it. The police are calling on the public not to approach or collect weapon parts at the crash sites. The incident occurred last night (Monday) after a saboteur from the Judea and Samaria Border Police noticed that the main part of an interceptor was missing from the scene he was handling. Police officers from the Modi'in Illit station from the Shi'a district conducted rapid action while tracking down the suspect in the act using intelligence. Subsequently, the suspect and the dangerous part of the interceptor were located in his home. Due to the aforementioned danger, the suspect's home and several nearby buildings were evacuated in order for the saboteur to safely collect the item and take it for destruction. The Israel Police emphasizes to the public that they should avoid coming to the scenes and approaching or touching remains that may contain explosives. Furthermore, it is strictly forbidden to collect remains and parts of weapons due to the danger to human life that they pose before they are handled by police sappers. Report the location of the suspicious item immediately to the 100 hotline and keep curious people away. Civil discipline saves lives.
